The Challenge
Initially, our partner was having significant challenges recruiting for and hiring for hard-to-fill openings in their ambulatory care unit. As part of their overall talent strategy, the CHRO looked at potential outside recruitment partners to determine the best overall solution based on their recruiting needs and opportunities within their system.
Our Solution
We started our partnership with one recruiter to hire for our partner’s ambulatory care unit. Within one year, our partner asked us to take on all clinical recruitment. After two years, Hueman recruiters replaced all UCM contract recruiters to decrease costs and increase efficiencies across the organization.
We developed and implemented a long-term recruitment strategy defined by cohesive processes for system-wide recruitment and hiring. In 2020, our partner entrusted us with their onboarding process to reduce fall-off rates, completing our comprehensive recruiting and onboarding approach.

Our Results
We improved position aging by 84%, reducing job openings from 219 days to 36 days. During the first five months of the partnership, we made 130 hires for hard-to-fill openings. Viewed as a true extension of the team, we were engaged to handle recruitment and onboarding for the entire enterprise, including leadership positions.
Now a long-term, strategic partner, we serve as consultants on best practices, innovation & technology, interview training, and market evaluations to ensure our partner remains competitive in their markets.
