The Challenge
Our healthcare partner of 10+ years was leveraging an exclusive staffing agency vendor for their IT hires and paying premium fees for direct hire and contract-to-hire talent. In 2021, new IT leadership was interested in exploring alternative sourcing strategies.
When this desire was identified, recruitment leadership worked with IT Leadership to find a solution that better aligns with system best practices and the department's long-term goals to reduce the need for contractor headcount and drive long-term savings related to recruitment and hiring costs.
Our Solution
The IT department's needs were recognized by recruitment, and a solution was implemented to introduce a dedicated IT recruiter through the Hueman partnership. This solution was piloted at zero cost to our partner as the value add had yet to be determined. Six months after implementation, Hueman's IT recruiter was brought into our core contract headcount number (paid).
Our Results
In the first year of implementing a dedicated IT recruiter, Hueman made 201 hires, including some of the following roles:

- Manager IS Services
- Sr. Developer
- Data Scientist
- Certified BI Developer
- Program Manager, Clinical Communications and Mobility
Hueman was able to help the IT department realize a decrease in time to fill to 41 days on average and drive significant cost savings with over $1M in savings vs. paying direct hire fees to their staffing agency.
