Hueman RPO Saves Partner $610K by Eliminating CRNA Travelers

Our Partner: One of New York's premier academic medical systems providing healthcare services for more than 2 million patients

 

The Challenge

Our partner needed additional recruiting support for their hard-to-fill roles, while their internal team focuses on hiring for many of the volume roles. One of the more difficult to hire roles for our partner has been CRNAs, and they have been forced to use costly agencies and CRNA travelers to meet their systems needs. Our partner had not successfully hired a CRNA in over two years due to the difficulty of sourcing in their location.

Our Solution

After working with our partner for about 8 months, they asked our team to take on hiring for their CRNA roles. 

We applied tactics from our Travel Nurse Reduction Program and assigned a dedicated recruiter to focus on CRNA requisitions. Our approach included:  

  • Introducing innovative sourcing strategies tailored to these roles
  • Collaborating closely with hiring managers to generate referrals
  • Utilizing advanced tools and technology to find qualified candidates, including optimizing job descriptions for SEO and leveraging Indeed PPC

Our Results

In the first 4.5 months of exclusively managing the CRNA requisitions, our recruiter successfully made 7 CRNA hires (6 external and 1 internal). These hires enabled our partner to terminate some of their CRNA traveler contracts, resulting in savings of over half a million dollars.
