With a significant number of hard-to-fill positions open in their Surgical ICU and Neurological ICU, our partner was in need of experienced RN recruiters to supplement their internal team to develop a strong pipeline of talent, increase applicant flow, and reduce traveling nurses, thereby reducing contingency costs.
To solve for our partner's challenges, Hueman designated two contract recruiter seats for this partnership. These recruiters became an extension of our partner's team, seamlessly integrating into their ATS and processes.
With the support of our Hueman Recruitment Director, the team worked with leadership to reduce requisitions and drive more applicants. The success of the team's position in the Emergency Department led to expansion in recruiting for the Women's Services department.
All requisitions that Hueman recruiters were responsible for were deemed hard-to-fill.
In a year's time, our recruiters hired a total of 90 clinicians, both nurses and social workers for hard-to-fill positions. We also saw over 750 applicants and conducted 200 interviews.
Our demonstrated success led to more opportunities — with our partner choosing to leverage one of our recruiters over their internal team to lead recruitment for an Emergency Department transition program.
So far, our Hueman recruiter has transitioned 5 nurses to our partner's Emergency Department from other areas of the hospital.
